SWEMSA Adaptive Soccer

SWEMSA is offering an adaptive, all-abilities program for children and youth between the ages of 5-18 years old. The program is focused to provide an opportunity for players with impairments and/or are neurodiverse to develop physical literacy skills, discover soccer, demonstrate courage, build friendships, and gain self-confidence.

The program provides an inclusive environment and is designed and adapted for children with any disability, impairment or level of behaviour.

CURRENT SESSION

SWEMSA Adaptive Session Winter/Spring

Day: Saturdays

Time: 10:30-11:30 am

Dates: January to June (specific dates will be listed shortly)

Location: Johnny Bright School gym or ice rink (1331 Rutherford Road SW)

Cost*: TBD

Note some sessions in the spring (May and June) may take place outside in the boarded ice rink adjacent to the school.

Registration steps:

  1. Complete the online registration will open shortly (please check back)
  2. You will be contacted to provide payment for the registration fee by e-transfer
  3. Following payment, you will receive an intake form and more information

Once the registration form and fee are received, your child’s registration is fully complete. Participants will receive a TeamSnap invite to the program before the first session. TeamSnap is used for communication during the session.

Please note that we have limited number of spaces and once the maximum number of participants is reached, your child may be placed on a waitlist pending space.

Parents will need to read/review and acknowledge as part of the registration the following two waivers:

We are also offering “try out 1-session” or drop-in session for $ 25 per session. Contact zone.administrator@swemsa.org for details.

Note: parents/guardians are required to be present and/or participate during this session. There is no player drop off. There are limited spots available for the session.

*Prorated registration fee is available after the session has started, please contact zone.administrator@swemsa.org

Registration refund/withdrawal – cancellations must be received at least 10 days prior to the course date and must be submitted to zone.administrator@swemsa.org with the name of the participant.

Tentatively next session will start in late January/early February and sessions will be on the weekends.
